Experience Required

• Valid DZ License required with 3 years of DZ truck driving experience preferred with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.
• Valid AZ License required with 3 years of AZ truck driving experience preferred with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate various routes efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
• Experience with floating is an asset.
• Knowledge of automotive/equipment repair and maintenance is an asset.


Physical/Mental Demands:
• Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Sitting is required up to 75% of the time due to the primary function of driving.
• Ability to work in usually loud conditions.

Primary Responsibilites

Vokes is currently looking for a permanent, full-time, experienced, organized, independent, and responsible AZ/DZ Driver with a minimum of 3 years' experience and clean commercial drivers abstract. The position will offer variety including; driving dump truck, roll off truck and floating equipment.

What you'll do:

• Ensure that all required personal protective equipment is always worn (i.e., gloves, reflective vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any changes or delays that may arise.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including; time of departure and arrival.
• Load and unload cargo in a safe and efficient manner using appropriate equipment.
• Perform multiple daily pick-ups and deliveries within the scheduled times planned.
• Operation of roll-off truck to transport and deliver bins to designated job sites, and removal of debris, waste and other materials to designated location, secure all loads, including equipment, tarping materials, etc.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations while driving.
• Performing truck inspections before taking the road.
• Maintain proper logbooks.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Other duties as necessary.
